What are the safety features of an Emergency Safety Shower?

The range we supply have unique safety features for both the eyewashes and the showers. One feature is inverted flow which ensures that the flushing is directed away from the sensitive nasal passages. Another great safety feature is laminar flow which provides the right pressure and height of water to the eye and face. The shower heads are compliant with the relevant standards but also deliver minimised water pressure for even water distribution.

What flow rates are required of an Emergency Safety Shower?

Flow rates required under the AS4775 is 1.5L per minute for an eyewash, 11.4L for eye/facewash units and 75.7L for Emergency Safety Showers. They must be delivered at this rate for a full 15 minutes.

Can we keep our Emergency Safety Shower outdoors?

Yes, please consider the temperature range under the Australian Standards, the water should be delivered between 16 - 38°C. Some of our Emergency Safety Showers have insulation to make sure that the temperatures remain within the parameters.
