The iQSafety story began in the 1970’s when Lester Nichol established our parent company, Matthews Australasia. Lester spent many months travelling around Australia visiting a huge range of industrial, logistics & manufacturing based companies.

Seeing the dangers that staff working in these environments faced daily, Lester began to look for opportunities to increase safety through innovation. Research and development began at a local level and soon grew to searching the globe for the best technology partners available.

It was this search that led to New Pig in 1990 forming the start of a long term business relationship.

Since then, iQSafety has expanded to distribute a wide range of world-leading safety products with a focus on spill and hazardous goods management. Today our brands include NewPig, Haws emergency shower and eyewash systems, PBA safety cabinets and cans, plus more.
